Applied Financial Management
Collaborating in a team of four for eight weeks, I was tasked with analyzing Tyson Foods from a multitude of angles. This was done by studying competitors, the industry, and the current socioeconomic state(s) Tyson operates in. In term of quantitive factors, we looked at various short-term and long-term liquidity and profitability measures and ratios, which led us to make recommendations on debt and equity financing. Calculating, altering, and projecting these numbers were done through a given set of assumptions as well as a list of assumptions made by our team, who specialize in real estate, finance, technology, and communications. This led us to draw conclusions about the outlook of the business and its current financial health. My roles included design, project management, and leading the Excel analysis. Below are the written portion of our presentations:
Part 2 & 3 - Financial Statement Analysis
Part 4 - Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis
Part 5 & 6 - Capital Structure and Working Capital Management
